Tour Program:

DAY 1 Arrival in Rome – Private guided Park and City Walk – Visit to Villa Medici Garden – (Monday)

Between 10.00-10.30 a.m arrival at Rome FCO Apt. Meet and great with our guide and drive with private minivan / minibus to the hotel in Rome. Time for lunch. Private walking tour with our English speaking city guide/garden lover through the Villa Borghese park, terrace of the Pincio with a unique view on Piazza del Popolo, Casina Valadier and exclusive guided visit to the Gardens of Villa Medici. Cappuccino break in the Caffetteria of Villa Medici. Trinità dei Monti Church, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain. End of the tour and return to the hotel on your own. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Rome.

DAY 2 Villa Farnese in Caprarola – Villa Lante in Bagnaia – Monster Garden in Bomarzo (Tuesday)

After breakfast buffet at the hotel transfer with our guide/garden lover and private minivan/minibus to Caprarola, North of Rome. Our private guide/garden lover shows the gardens of Villa Farnese in Caprarola, which are as impressive as the building itself. An important example of the Italian Renaissance garden period. Labyrinth garden with a view of Caprarola. Drive to Bagnaia and privately guided tour of Villa Lante: every aspect of the garden is perfectly proportioned, water parterre, beautiful fountains and various sculptures. The garden of Villa Lante is an enchanted place that was built in the second half of the 16th Century at the behest of Cardinal Gambara near a forest that was already a hunting ground. It is one of the most beautiful Italian Renaissance gardens. Time for lunch. Privately guided tour of the Monster Garden in Bomarzo; the Park is made up of bizarre and fascinating sculptures, such as the huge, screaming mouth, the enormous turtle and the crooked house. The Sacro Bosco was created in the 16th Century by Pierfrancesco Orsini, better known as Vicino, and is different from the Italian gardens; it is unique, bringing ahermeneutic labyrinth of silence, allusions and illusions to life. Drive back to the hotel in Rome. Time for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este, lunch in an excellent restaurant in Tivoli (Wednesday)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Meet with our guide/garden lover at the hotel and transfer with our private minivan /minibus to Tivoli. Private guided tour of Villa Hadrian (Villa Adriana); one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Villa Hadrian was built in AD 118-134 and was the summer residence of Emperor Hadrian. Afterwards privately guided tour of Villa D’Este: The villa is a jewel of architectural and scenic splendor. The extraordinary complex is famous all over the world for its magnificent fountains, which are characterized by wonderful and impressive water features and is considered the most beautiful example of the Italian Renaissance Garden in Europe. Light lunch with delicious Italian antipasti, salad, and Italian wine on the terrace of the restaurant overlooking the Sibilles Temple and the gorge of Villa Gregoriana. Return to the hotel in Rome and time to relax. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel in Rome

DAY 4 Vatican Gardens – Vatican Museums – Sistine Chapel – St. Peter’s Basilica (Thursday)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel and meet with our private guide. Drive with private minivan/minibus to the Vatican or by walk. Introduction to the tour of the Vatican Gardens by our guide/garden lover and Vatican Garden Tour with an electric minibus and audio guide. Private guided tour of the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica with its frescoes, mosaics and statues. St. Peter’s Square with the obelisk, clonnade and fountains. Time for lunch. In the afternoon private guided tour of the Vatican Museums / Sistine Chapel. Return to the hotel on your own and time for dinner. Overnight at the hotel in Rome.

DAY 5 Shopping day in Rome (Friday)

After an enjoiable buffet breakfast at the hotel leisure time in Rome; for a walk, a sightseeing on your own, shopping, a hop-on-hop-off trip or similar. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Rome

DAY 6 Apostolic Palace – Villa Barberini Gardens in Castel Gandolfo (Saturday)

Meet with our private guide/garden lover at the hotel after a rich breakfast buffet at the hotel and drive with our minivan / minibus to Castel Gandolfo. The privately guided tour of the Apostolic Summer Palace begins with the unique Papal Gallery, the liturgical vestments and shoes, insight into the papal writing and bedroom with the image of Holy Mother and Child. Wonderful frescoes, tapestries and jambs of white marble. From the palace terrace you have a unique view of the crater lake. Visit of the Barberini Gardens with the electric minibus and our guide/garden lover and audio guide: a place of a wonderful mix of botanical and archaeological beauty. Enjoy the carefully tended gardens with the rose avenue, the aromatic herbs, magnolias, the olive grove passing by the papal farm. From the “Giardino all’italiano” with the nymph ponds you can see the Sea. Picnic lunch: Sandwich with the famous and fine suckling pig meat, called Porchetta from Ariccia or a vegetarian variant, at the outdoor tables of the restaurant in the gardens of Villa Barberini. Transfer to the lake shore and time for a walk. Return to the hotel in Rome in the early afternoon and leisure time. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel in Rome

DAY 7 Rome – Departure (Sunday)

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Transfer with our private minivan, no assistant, to Rome Fiumicino airport. End of program

General information:

Arrival transfer / departure transfer: Those who arrive earlier and want to go to the hotel without waiting for the other participants or who arrives at the airport after the specified meeting time can take a taxi or our private transfer with a surcharge (the private transfer has to be booked in advance). This also applies to departure.

Number of participants: Minimum 7 people, maximum 10 people; We reserve the right to withdraw from the travel contract if the minimum number of participants is not reached up to 8 weeks before the travel date. The paid travel price will be refunded or used for a replacement offer. If the number of registrations exceeds 10 people, a second travel date will be proposed for minimum 7 people, maximum 10 people.

Mobility: Please let us know when registering if a participant has a restricted mobility. Not all of the sites listed in the program are barrier-free.

Health advice: All participants must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (Green certificate; QR code) or have a valid negative test. Customers without valid certificates cannot be accepted; all payments will be lost.

Program changes: We reserve the right to make changes to the program without reducing the value of the trip.
