Life on board

 

Skipper: An expert skipper/captain  will handle your boat for a week.
The skipper will live with you on the boat. The skipper/captain speaks English
 
Sailing :You will participate to the sailing operations and have possibility
to learn with the assistance of your captain;
 
Meals: The meals will be prepared on a fixed menus and will be based on the Italian cuisine.
You will participate to cooking;  We can organize special menu requests as Vegetarian, Vegan, etc.
On board you will have full gallery kitchen and refrigerator.
 
Extra hostess: If you don’t want to cook we can provide an hostess on board;
 
Drinks: Drinks will be purchased by keeping a weekly fund between the participants
 
Cleaning and boat maintaining:You will participate to the cleaning and boat maintaining
 
Luggage or personal bags: We recommend bringing soft bags and no trolleys.
There is no maximum allowance but the space for bags on board is limited.
 
Bedding and Towels: Bedding and paper ware dinner is provided on board;
 
Comfort on board: The sailing yachts are compact but comfortable;
The cabins have two beds and small closets for your cloths; Our boat have 2 bathrooms and shower
 
Electrical supply: You can charge your camera, laptop, mobile phone and I pods.
We recommend bringing a 12 V car adapter with you
 
On board communication:
The vhf radio on our yachts is used to communicate with other boats and for emergencies.
Internet access might be available at certain restaurants. Your mobile phones are likely to work in most places.
 
Check-in and check-out :First day you can check-in around 4pm. If your arrival is earlier, your captain
will help you to deliver the luggage in a safe room in order to wait to embarking.
The check-out at the last day is at 9 am;
 
We recommend to bring: : Beach and bath towels; Swimwear T-shirts; Shorts;
Light sweater; Waterproof jacket Sun hat / cap; sunglasses; Non-slip deck shoes; Sailing gloves;
12v car charger; High factor and waterproof sunscreen crème. A basic first aid kit including plasters,
antiseptic creams, seasickness tablets, insect repellent, antihistamine and any personal medication
you need to last the duration of your holiday. Fins and mask for snorkeling.

1st day – Sunday- Agropoli port
 
Arrival day. Embark on the sailing boat.
Briefing with your captain for an introduction on the cruise program, on the life on board, on the
safety equipment.
Dinner and overnight on board
 
Evening highlight : Your captain will bring you in one of the Fishermen Bars at the Port of Agropoli 
to taste a “ Limoncello” a local lemon liqueur

2nd day – Monday - Agropoli. Positano
 
Breakfast on board.
Navigation to Positanowhich was an Amalfi Republic’s port in the Medieval Period.
This small village is a picturesque place with splendid coastal views, small streets clambering down a
vertiginous slope to the sea. Time for lunch. Arrival and free time for lunch and discover the small city :
You can visit the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta; Walk hand-in-hand along the
Sentiero degli Innamorati (Path of Love) from Spiaggia Grande to the beach of Fornillo.
Buy a pair of hand-made sandals,perfect for climbing up the steps of Positano.
Spiaggia Grande is the heart of sea edge Positano. This beach is with the length of 300 meters
one of the longest on the Amalfi Coast, and one of the most glamorous too, attracting a
fashionable crowd of artists,actors and celebrities. Sea activities Dinner and overnight on board
 
Evening highlight: Possibility to have some free time in the Positano centre, to participate
to the local events, festivals in Positano or Praiano. You can assist to the “Tarantella” musical
show in the famous night club “Africana” in Praiano

3rd day – Tuesday -  Positano. Pompei. Positano. Ischia

Meet your local guide and departure to Pompeiiby a private minibus
Arrival and guided Pompeii Excavation visit; this ancient Roman city was destroyed and buried during the
eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Return to Positano and free time for lunch
Navigation to Ischia
Arrival in the Bay of Sorgeto, with hot thermal springs
Swim and snorkelling in the thermal waters
Dinner on board (for your menu the eggs and potatoes will be cooked in the thermal hot waters)

4th day - Wednesday - Ischia. Capri
 
Breakfast on board. Navigation to the Port of Ischia
Time to discover the city of Ischia or swim activities in a crystalline sea
You can shop in the famous “Rive droite” the sea side of Ischia or visit the Castello Aragonese.
The castle is the most impressive historical monument in Ischia, built by Hiero I of Syracuse
in 474 BC. The Castle is situated on a volcanic island is connected to Ischia by a 220 metre bridge
To day the castle is a hotel with a museum, a castle-monastery garden, fabulous views and
a wonderful climate. After lunch navigation to Capri island. Arrival to the Blue Grotto( Grotta Azzurra).
Visit of this sea cave that is flooded with a brilliant blue light. During Roman times,
the grotto was used as the personal swimming hole of Emperor Tiberius as well as a marine temple.
Free time for sea activities
Dinner and overnight on board;
 
Evening highlight: You can enjoy and listen the live music or a DJ program in the best

5th day - Thursday - Capri. Amalfi

Meet your local guide at the port of Capri. Visit of the Island moving with private minibuses;
You will see the village of Anacapri, Capri , the Augustus Gardensadmiring the Faraglioni
3 rocks situated in the south of capri and the famous Piazzetta “little square” considered
the centre of the town for the residents and tourists;
Here you taste a glass of local vineand admire the panoramic view of the island.
Free time for lunch. Return to the Port using the most ancient transport
“La Funicolare” (cable railway)
Navigation to Amalfi. Arrival and swim in one of the blue coves of the marine protected area of
Punta Campanella. Proceed to the Port of Amalfi.
Dinner: Your dinner will be served in one of the Amalfi’s typical “ Pizzeria

6th day – Friday- Amalfi. Ravello. Amalfi
 
Breakfast on board. Meet your local guide and depart to Ravello by private minibus.
Enjoy a scenic ascent to the town of Ravello“the closest to the sky” of the entire coast.
Upon arrival you will enjoy the visit of the famous garden of  Villa Rufolounique with its trees,
flowers and exotic plants where it will be possible to descend to the lower terrace overlooking the sea
and all the magnificent coast.
Here Richard Wagnerfinally fond  the garden he imagined for his opera the “ Parsifal”.
The excursion continues with an optional visit into the Romanesque Cathedral located on the town’s main
square or taking some free time on your own. Return to Amalfi with your guide and walk across
the typical streets, to the breathtaking Cathedral of St Andrew

Arrival and leisure time.  Afternoon transfer to the farmhouse Seliano in Paestum.
Visit of the farm house.
 
Cooking Class:you will learn how to prepare typical Italian dishes according the
ancient recipes of the area; Enjoy the dinner with the dishes cooked by you.
 
Wine tastingwith local wines .Return to Agropoli port
